Who we are
ORBIT ("ORBIT", "we", "us") operates the web3orbit.org website and platform from Nigeria. ORBIT is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
Data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and login credentials.
- Google Sign-in data — if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, name, profile picture URL, and Google user identifier from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Support and communications — messages you send us and their metadata.
- Usage and telemetry — pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and error logs.
- Device data — IP address, browser, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Subscription data — plan, status, and renewal dates. Payment card and billing address data is collected and stored by Paddle, not by ORBIT.
Why we use it
- Create and manage your account (contract performance).
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service (contract performance / legitimate interests).
- Prevent fraud and abuse and secure the platform (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
- Respond to support requests (contract performance / legitimate interests).
- Send service and transactional emails such as receipts and account notices (contract performance).
We do not send marketing emails and we do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Who we share it with
- Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record for payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle acts as an independent controller for the payment data it collects.
- Google — when you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes the sign-in request as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
- Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting, database, authentication, and email delivery vendors acting as processors on our behalf.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and compliance advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
International transfers
Some of the vendors above are located outside Nigeria and outside your country of residence. Where legally required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data during transfer.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@web3orbit.org. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging, to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies only — to keep you signed in and to secure the platform. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies.
